This Morning star Rylan Clark has shared that he’s in a new relationship, four years after his difficult divorce, and they’ve even discussed having kids together
Rylan Clark is reportedly dating a hunk who is 11 years his senior.
The ITV star, who recently sparked controversy with his comments about illegal immigration, has revealed he is in a new relationship.
It comes four years after his tumultuous divorce from Dan Neal in 2021 after six years together. It’s now believed the TV star is dating a new man who is 11 years his senior.
It’s said his new boyfriend is Kennedy Bates, 47, who is part of a successful family funfair business, Billy Bates and Sons. He’s 11 years older than Rylan, who is 36.
Kennedy was just 11 when he started working at funfairs selling balloons, posts frequently to the his family funfair’s Facebook page about his love for his family, their business and all its taught him. “Where would we be without the hard work, love and lessons learned from our fathers and grandfathers,” he wrote in one post.
On his podcast How To Be In Love, Rylan let slip some details about his new relationship, admitting he and his boyfriend have discussed having children together. He told his guest, interviewer Louis Theroux: “I’m loving what I’ve got at the minute and I want to keep it that way.”
When Louis later asked the star if the new couple were thinking about children, Rylan said: “Yeah, I want kids. He wants kids.”
Rylan also addressed the rumours about him having a romance with his longtime friend Rob Rinder, adding: “Like, so many people keep asking, everyone keeps asking me – because there’s all these fake news stories about me and Rob Rinder – we’ve gotten married and all of this. Rob’s my friend.
“I adore him, and Rob and Rylan’s just about to come out again, our passage to India, and I just thought, ‘Let’s just put the record straight’.”
The former X Factor star didn’t name Kennedy, but said he was “very content” with his partner. It’s the first serious relationship Rylan has spoken about since his divorce from Dan Neal. The pair divorced in 2021 when Rylan admitted to cheating on his husband.
Rylan said he felt like a “failure” after the breakdown of his marriage. he said earlier this year: “There was part of me that just felt like a complete and utter failure. I felt like I’d failed personally, but I felt like I’d found publicly on behalf of – the gays!”
Rylan hasn’t gone public with his new man, but the pair have been spotted on a number of public dates over the summer, including at an Oasis concert. An insider told The Sun: “Rylan’s family and friends have all met him and they’ve been attending lots of gigs together this summer, including Oasis.”
They added: “This new man has certainly put a smile back on Rylan’s face.”
