The writers of South Park have shared an unaired animation from their latest episode which has divided opinion as they showed a gory shooting spree with Kristi Noem at the centre
After its recent explosive political episode, South Park has unveiled a previously unseen scene featuring Kristi Noem embarking on a shooting rampage at a pet shop.
Just last week, South Park aired an episode with Noem recruiting Mackey as an ICE agent. During the episode, the creators referenced Noem’s notorious tale where she claimed to have shot her own dog for being “untrainable.”
The episode also showcased the DHS Secretary’s face peeling off and being patched up again by a team of beauty experts. However, there was one clip of the politician that the South Park creators didn’t broadcast on TV.
In the scene, which was only shown on Paramount+, Noem is seen strolling into Pets Galore and firing at animals as they whimper.
She continues shooting for about 20 seconds until a dog attempts to flee the shop. Noem, donning an ICE vest, then proceeds to repeatedly shoot the small pooch, reports the Irish Star.
South Park shared the clip on X, with many people expressing their shock at the brutality of the scene, with some suggesting the show had overstepped the mark.
One X user commented: “Why would you animate this to the extent you did? It’s a bit disturbing,” with another adding, “Really just not that funny.”
However, some social media users found the portrayal hilarious, writing: “Animators need a raise for this.”
Another X user shared a GIF of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and captioned it: “Trump is going to send the National Guard to occupy @SouthPark’s studio.”
Meanwhile, Governor Noem continued with her official duties, announcing that the age limit for joining ICE as an agent has been lifted.
During an appearance on Fox News, Noem shared the update, saying: “People and patriots across this country that say ‘We want to join, we want to help and be a part of this effort.’ It’s overwhelming.”
She added that there is now “no cap on how old you can be.”
However, Noem did address the South Park episode on the Glenn Beck Program podcast, stating: “It’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that. But clearly they can’t – they just pick something petty like that.”
In response to her criticism, South Park simply changed their social media profile pictures to feature Noem’s melting face from the episode, seemingly unfazed by her comments.
