Spice Girls met up at a recent Oasis concert as the ultimate tribute to the nineties and posted an adorable picture online to show fans what they’d been up to
Spice Girls had an unexpected reunion at a recent Oasis concert.
Mel C and Geri Horner met up at an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium nearly three decades after reported tensions between both bands. The pair were among the many fans enjoying the rock band’s show as part of their Oasis Live ’25 tour.
Mel, 51, and Geri, 53, were spotted in the stands and Sporty Spice paid tribute to Geri on Instagram writing: “Happy Birthday darling @gerihalliwellhorner, our Ginger Spice. Have an amazing day, love you to pieces.”
The post included photos of them over the years, including one of Mel and Geri standing together at Wembley Stadium with Mel sporting an Oasis lanyard.
Mel wore a blue top and trousers while Geri wore a white jumpsuit, which appears to be the same outfit she wore in a photo with England footballers Alex Greenwood, 31, Hannah Hampton, 24, and Alessia Russo, 26, at the Oasis concert.
Although there have long been reports of a “feud” between the Spice Girls and Oasis dating back to the 90s, Mel has previously stated that there is “no beef” between them, reports the Mirror.
The speculation stemmed from the BRIT Awards in 1997 when both bands were going head to head. Hinting at a problem with the Spice Girls, Liam reportedly said he wouldn’t attend as he would “smack them” if he encountered them.
During the Spice Girls’ acceptance speech for British Single of the Year, awarded to their debut single Wannabe over Oasis’ song Don’t Look Back in Anger, Mel had a message for Liam. She declared on stage: “I just wanna say, Liam, come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!”.
