Four members of iconic girl group Spice Girls are reportedly in talks to reunite and are said to be considering a world tour next year to mark 30 years since their first album
Spice Girls fans, brace yourselves as a reunion might be on the cards.
The iconic girl group are looking to get back together once again, but it looks like Posh Spice won’t be joining the party.
Scary, Baby, and Sporty – that’s Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Mel C – are all up for a world tour next year alongside Ginger Spice, but Victoria Beckham is apparently not on board.
A source told The Sun: “There have been rumours swirling for months, but Geri has always been too busy and had other things on, preventing her from saying yes. Nothing is yet confirmed but Geri and Simon are back in touch with a myriad of exciting ideas,” reports the Mirror.
“Unfortunately Victoria has pretty much ruled herself out, but there is still a world in which she could do some sort of avatar appearance or a special one-off thing.”
While in Miami cheering on her F1 hubby Christian Horner at the Grand Prix, Geri will be catching up with Simon who’s been invited along. The source reckons having Simon in the mix could elevate a potential tour “to the next level”.
Just last month, Geri signalled she’s ready to reunite after Mel B admitted she wants to hit the road again. Geri said: “My hope is we come back together as a collective.”
Geri Halliwell expressed her desire for the Spice Girls to reunite as a five-piece group, stating: “It’s more respectful to come as one. There will be something. We’ll come as one. We love each other. I love them, I care about them, we want the best for each other.”
In an interview with The Times, she added: “We shared something so monumental. We’ve always believed in each other, had trust in each other, which is beautiful.”
Geri also confirmed that the girls have a group chat, but chose not to reveal its name. Mel C recently hinted at a possible Spice Girls reunion to mark the 30-year anniversary of their debut album, Spice, in 2026.
The group toured together in 2019 but as a foursome, with Victoria Beckham opting not to participate. Speaking to Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1, Mel C said: “There has to be something befitting of 30 years since Wannabe.”
She emphasized that the group feels a strong bond, stating: “Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl. We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we’re going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right.”
