Stevie Nicks has been forced to reschedule her upcoming US tour dates as she “requires recovery time” following a recent injury – she was scheduled to start her tour in August
Stevie Nicks has been forced to reschedule her tour dates.
The 77-year-old Fleetwood Mac singer needs time to recover from an injury after she recently fractured her shoulder, meaning she will have to postpone her US concerts.
A post on her Instagram account read: “Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled.”
“Please note that October dates will be unaffected. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologises to the fans for this inconvenience.”
The music icon was initially set to commence her tour in August. In other news, it was recently revealed that Buckingham Nicks, the sole studio album by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie as a duo, is being reissued for the first time.
First released in September 1973 and unavailable for many years, the album has been sourced from the original master tapes for its long-awaited return to vinyl as well as hi-res digital files for its CD and digital release.
Buckingham and Nicks was recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles and was released the year before Stevie and Lindsey joined Fleetwood Mac. Despite not being a commercial success, it led drummer Mick Fleetwood to invite Stevie and Lindsey to join the legendary rock band.
The former pair have been at odds since guitarist Lindsey was once again ousted from the band in 2018 under bitter circumstances, but Mick has previously expressed his hope for Stevie and Lindsey to reconcile their differences.
The drummer, who co-founded the legendary rock group in the 1960s, shared with Us Weekly: “I always have a fantasy that [Stevie] and Lindsey would pal up a bit more and just say everything’s OK for them both. But we’ve had such an incredible career.”
Mick had plans to bring the band back together before Christine McVie’s death in November 2022, at the age of 79.
