Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Wynne Evans has reportedly parted ways with his fiancee Liz Brookes just weeks after the pair became engaged while on holiday
Wynne Evans has “split from his fiancée” just weeks after popping the question.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star was on a trip to Morocco with his partner Liz Brookes when he got down on one knee, but it seems his relationship has already ended.
Insiders told Daily Mail: “Wynne and Liz broke off their engagement a few weeks ago. The pressure of his new business ventures took its toll and they had a big fallout.”
Wynne recently opened a restaurant and wine bar in his hometown of Carmarthen named Welsh House by Wynne.
“Initially, there was a belief they would get back together when the ill-feeling died down, as they had split before and managed to patch things up, but with Wynne actively trying to date again and going public describing the relationship as ‘not healthy’, it’s safe to say they’ve split for good this time.
During a recent Facebook Live broadcast, Wynne hinted that their partnership was “not healthy” and confessed that he is already moving on.
Liz reportedly met Wynne back in 2024 when he performed at an event her company threw and she was regularly seen supporting him in the Strictly audience and online.
Before his stint on the BBC competition show, Wynne credited his fitness journey to Liz and said that they “go out running” together, which made him “feel much better”.
He proposed to Liz in June 2025 and at the time he proudly took to Instagram to write: “Big news…I got engaged! This weekend in Morocco, somewhere between the couscous, the camels, and me limping around the souks like a man with no spatial awareness, I proposed to Liz and she said yes! (No take-backs, I’ve checked.)”
“She’s clever, she’s kind, she’s got excellent taste in men. Absolutely no idea how I pulled that off, but here we are! Feeling very lucky, very happy and just a tiny bit smug.”
