A tearful Vicky Pattison has revealed she’s suffered a “mini-breakdown” and been battling a gruelling schedule ahead of Strictly Come Dancing. During a recent instalment of Vicky Pattison and Angela Scanlon’s podcast, Get A Grip, the Glitterball hopeful opened up about the strain she’s experiencing before the upcoming series.

The Geordie Shore favourite has signed up for the BBC programme alongside celebrity contestants including Dani Dyer, footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Good Morning Britain’s Ross King, and Neighbours icon Stefan Dennis.

It appears Vicky has been struggling recently, revealing to her co-presenter (who previously competed on Strictly herself) that she hadn’t been feeling like herself and had endured a demanding week with a relentless timetable.

She spoke about experiencing a “mini-breakdown” following a family getaway, explaining how she’d been wandering around in a “haze” and chose to resume therapy sessions. Vicky even stated that it “can’t go on.”

She revealed: “All this can’t go on. I feel like I’ve just been walking around in this haze for so long pretending to be happy and all the rest of it and I’m not, so I went back to therapy.”

In another candid moment, she shared how she’d been getting support from the Speakmans, the therapists featured on ITV’s This Morning, admitting: “I pretty much cried for three hours straight.”

Slightly more than three weeks remain until the first live show, but Vicky was reportedly left in pain after her last training session.

In the forthcoming 23rd series, beloved hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will make their return, accompanied by the iconic judging panel of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke.

The professional dancer roster was revealed earlier this year, featuring returning favourites including Nadiya Bychkova, Gorka Marquez, Amy Dowden, and Dianne Buswell.

They’ll be joined by two fresh faces — Australia’s Dancing With The Stars’ Julian Caillon and So You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr.

Meanwhile, former I’m A Celebrity winner Vicky disclosed this week that she’s discovered her dancing partner’s identity. She shared the exciting news on Instagram.

She posted: “THE HAPPIEST LITTLE EGG BECAUSE I HAVE FINALLY GOT A DANCE PARTNER… I can’t say anything else or the BBC will have my head, but I’m so happy!!!!! Arghhhhhhhh!”

“Hope you all find out who it is soon, as I am a terrible secret squirrel! Eeeeekkkkk!!! It’s all feeling very real now @bbcstrictly.”
