Wuthering Height’s 2025 remake starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi is making film fans blush after the raunchy new trailer showed the pair getting down and dirty
Wuthering Heights’ raunchy 2025 remake has left film fans with their jaws on the floor.
The racy film, based on Emily Bronte’s novel of the same name, has received yet another Hollywood adaptation starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The trailer was released on 4 September and featured some seriously steamy scenes to hint at the plot, including intimate bedroom moments between the main characters.
In the trailer’s YouTube comment section, fans have been going wild for the saucy new trailer and one person wrote: “I didn’t know Wuthering Heights was the fourth instalment in the 50 Shades of Grey franchise!”
Another person joked: “50 Shades of Trauma,” a second said: “Sooo, basically 50 Shades of Bronte?” as a third typed: “50 Shades of Grey: 1800s version.”
“50 Shades of Bronte,” chimed in another unimpressed viewer as others expressed their shock at the trailer’s raunchiest moments.
Wuthering Heights, which is set to release on 14 February 2026 just in time for Valentine’s Day, stars Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif and Hong Chau.
Film fans have been left baffled by the revelation that pop princess Charli XCX has been brought on board for the soundtrack, which some think is an odd choice considering the story is set in the late 1700s.
The Brat songstress took to X/Twitter to announce: “New original songs by me for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. In theatres February 14th. Happy early Valentines,” as stunned fans gathered to congratulate her.
“So amazing and proud of you,” gushed one person. Another tweet read: “Very cool,” a second: “So excited,” and a third: “OMG! I’ll be watching.”
