Wagner Carrilho, who shot to fame as a finalist on The X Factor back in 2010, has undergone a dramatic transformation at the age of 69 and fans can’t get enough
Wagner is completely unrecognisable.
Carrilho, the unforgettable X Factor finalist who appeared on the show back in 2010, has resurfaced at the age of 69 with a dramatic new look.
The Brazilian-born ex-PE teacher, who won over viewers during the show’s seventh series alongside stars such as One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Ferguson, was instantly identifiable by his flowing dark locks and trademark black moustache.
Despite only making it to the quarter-finals, he certainly left a mark as the oldest finalist that year. Fast forward to 2025 and Wagner is sporting a makeover that’s turning heads.
After spending time overseas, the quirky entertainer has returned to the UK and unveiled his revamped look during a recent video chat with FUBAR Radio host Andrew White.
His famous jet-black hair is gone, replaced by a head of platinum blonde tresses that still cascade past his shoulders. His moustache is still there, but now silver and complemented by a full, bushy beard, reports the Mirror.
However, it was Wagner’s surprising physical transformation that really took fans by surprise. The former X Factor star is now incredibly buff and sports tattoos all over his muscular arms.
Wagner further flaunted his new gym-honed body by doing a bicep curl during the video which, naturally, left fans in a state of shock.
The X Factor star spoke about his return to the UK last December, fed up with life in Brazil: “I couldn’t stand living in Brazil,” he confessed to the interviewer, revealing that he sold his hair transplant clinic, which he had set up under the Da Vinci brand name.
Back when he first took off for Brazil in 2022, Wagner explained: “I love it here but I am going to Brazil to start a hair transplant business. I’m living proof that hair transplants work.”
“I had mine eight years ago and I haven’t lost anything. I lose more from the beard than my head. I’m going to be making so much money I’ll be coming back to the UK. I’m only a flight away.”
