A DJ claims ITV failed to support Caroline Flack because she was not as financially valuable to them as stars like Ant McPartlin.
Radio 2 presenter Johnnie Walker believes more could have been done to help the telly host.
Caroline took her own life last month after a series of personal setbacks.
Walker, 74, believes ITV could have supported her like they did Saturday Night Takeaway star Ant through his addiction torment.
He tells Radio Times: “I wish Caroline Flack had had more support from ITV. I really think they should have supported her in the same way that they did Ant from Ant and Dec.
“I think it was down to the financial value of the individual.

“That’s the reality. Ant and Dec’s programmes earn a huge amount.”
Last night an ITV spokesman said: “When Caroline stepped down from her role presenting Love Island, ITV made it clear that the door was firmly left open for her to return.
“The Love Island production team remained in regular contact with her and continued to offer her support.” Caroline stepped down from her presenting role last year after being charged with assault on her boyfriend Lewis Burton.
Even though he wanted the charges dropped, the case was still going ahead.
The following day she was found dead.
