Every major Hollywood star has kicked off their career in a different way, from casting couches to A-list acting agents.
But, before they were famous, certain celebrities put their names to a whole host of unusual jobs – Ozzy Osbourne worked in a slaughterhouse, while Channing Tatum made a dime as a male stripper.
On top of that, a small portion of the world’s biggest stars even tried their hand at the porn and erotic film and photography industry.
Huge names like Jackie Chan, Sylvester Stallone and Cameron Diaz have worked on X-rated films or topless photoshoots in the past before becoming household names.
While some stars are proud of their raunchy resumé, others prefer to bury it in the past.
Below, we’ve listed Hollywood’s biggest names who appeared in porn and erotic content before they were famous – with a few surprises in store.
Jackie Chan

Today, Jackie Chan is best known for his incredible stunt work and acting skills in films like the action flick The Karate Kid.
However, years beforehand, the martial arts pro starred in a 70s adult film titled All In The Family.
Playing a rickshaw driver, Jackie’s character appears an hour into the film, taking part in a steamy love-making scene.
While the actors did not actually have sex, the film featured a number of sex scenes and Jackie appeared nude.
Speaking about the experience in a 2006 interview with Information Times, the blockbuster star confessed he didn’t regret the racy acting gig.
He said: “I had to do anything I could to make a living 31 years ago, but I don’t think it’s a big deal, even Marlon Brando used to be exposed in his movies.
“The porn movie at that time was more conservative than the current films.”
Since then, the 65-year-old star has gone on to star in films like the Rush Hour franchise, Shanghai Noon and The Spy Next Door.
Sibel Kekilli

Sibel Kekilli might be best known for playing Tyrion Lannister’s love interest on Game of Thrones, but she enjoyed a successful career in the adult film industry before her big break.
The 39-year-old actress used the stage name Dilara when acting in adult films in her native Germany.
Tragically, Sibel’s parents cut off contact with her when they found out about her past career as an adult film star.
In 2011, she rose to fame worldwide playing Shae on the hit fantasy series, though her character was killed off when Tyrion strangled her to death.
Her most recent role was playing Yasil in Berlin, I Love You, along with major names like Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley and Mickey Rourke.
Cameron Diaz

Starting off her career as a model in her teens, Cameron Diaz was photographed and videotaped topless for an S&M leather fashion lingerie editorial at the age of 19.
The 47-year-old has since blocked the distribution of the film and has taken legal action against the photographer and filmmaker.
Two years later, the Californian star rose to fame playing jazz singer Tina Carlyle on The Mask, which cemented her status as a sex symbol.
Today, her net worth is an estimated $150 million (£122million), having starred in major films like There’s Something About Mary and My Best Friend’s Wedding.
Sylvester Stallone

Eternally linked to the Rocky franchise, Sylvester Stallone made an X-rated entrance into the acting world.
Released in 1970, the 73-year-old played the lead character in The Party at Kitty and Stud’s.
Playing brown-haired hunk Stud, the film saw the Hollywood star belt-whipping his girlfriend and engaging in group sex.
After Sylvester rose to fame, earning an Oscar nomination for his role in the boxing flick Rocky, the adult film was renamed The Italian Stallion.
In an interview with Playboy, he admitted to doing the film out of desperation, after finding himself homeless in New York City.
He said: “It was either do that movie or rob someone because I was at the end — at the very end — of my rope.
“Instead of doing something desperate, I worked two days for $200 and got myself out of the bus station”.
Matt LeBlanc

Before landing his breakthrough role as the loveable Joey Tribbiani in Friends, Matt LeBlanc appeared in a softcore erotic TV series.
The 52-year-old landed a gig on The Red Shoe Diaries, a 90s drama series created by Playboy Entertainment.
Playing Kyle, Matt could be seen partially nude and getting down to business in saucy scenes.
Titled Just Like That, Californication actor David Duchovny appeared in the same episode of the steamy drama series.
Two years later, in 1994, Matt found success playing Joey on Friends, eventually making $1million (£766,398) for every episode of the NBC sitcom recorded.
The iconic gang has confirmed they will return for a reunion this year, thanks to the streaming service HBO Max.
Joanie Laurer

While Joanie Laurer rose to fame as a wrestling star, she launched her adult film career after she had already become famous.
The muscular beauty was one of the world’s hugest names in WWF in the 90s, dominating the ring as her alter-ego Chyna.
Billed as the “ninth wonder of the world,” Joanie left the organisation in 2001, opting to wrestle solo in competitions worldwide.
Since 2004, she has appeared in six adult film titles, from One Night in China to Backdoor to Chyna.
Tragically, Joanie was found dead in her Californian home in 2016, passing away at the age of 46 from an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs.
