Shaun Ryder still gets offered drugs on a daily basis – despite being clean for the past 14 years.
The Happy Mondays star, who has a long history of hellraising, says he finds it “amusing” when he gets “offered a line” in shops.
Chatting during his recent “An Audience With” tour, Shaun said: “There are people who think I am just at it.
“I am always getting stopped. ‘Do you want a line? Don’t you want an E?’
“I mean, fella. I am nearly 60. But knock yourself out.”
“It’s even happened at the shop.
“Amusing.”

Shaun, 57, also revealed that he prefers fans to grill him about his drug-taking rather than his “f***ing boring music”.
He said: “Most nights can be really boring with what music we write songs in.
“‘Is it the E or B minor key?’
“That is really f***ing boring.
“I’ll just talk about me and drugs.”

But at the height of his fame, on the Pills ‘N’ Thrills and Bellyaches tour, Shaun would lap up a cocktail of booze, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and marijuana after every gig.
Brother and bandmate Paul Ryder last year dubbed Shaun a fantasist “knob” who went “over the top” with drugs.
And he added: “There are countless stories he’s just invented. God knows where they come from.
“The wild tales of what we got up to recording our fourth album in Barbados were all myths and spoofs.”
