Chynna Rogers has died aged 25, her management confirmed.
Rogers began her career aged 14 after signing to Ford Models before going on to work with the likes of A$AP Yams.
After becoming involved with the A$AP Mob, she started her career as a budding rapper.
Pal John Miller said: “I can regrettably confirm Chynna passed away. Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.”
However, her cause of death has not yet been confirmed, although it was confirmed she passed away yesterday.
Chynna quickly became successful online in 2012 with her single Selfie and her 2014 hit Glen Coco.
She had previously been open about an opioid addiction, struggling following the take-off of her music career.
Speaking in 2018, she said revealed that she had overcome drug addiction and exactly a year after entering rehab, her mother had passed away but she didn’t let this challenge her sobriety.
Chatting with Pitchfork, she said: “My mom would be really tight with me if I used her as an excuse to fall off,”
“It’s just more reason to work and get this sh*t done.”
Fans instantly took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the star, with one fan tweeting: “Chynna Rogers was a talented young woman, a practising Buddhist, and a star who burned brightly, yet all too fast.”
While a second went on to say: “It sad it took Chynna Rogers to pass away for me to discover her music. She’s pretty dope too. I wish I didn’t have to find out about you through some Rest In Peace tweets. RIP Chynna”
“May the Young God Chynna Rogers find peace in her transition. May her family hold the memories of love & accomplishment in their hearts, rest easy,” penned a third.
Her fourth and final album release came in December 2019, with the album “incase i die first.”
