Lucy Fallon drives Coronation Street fans wild with dramatic hair transformation

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon unveiled a stunning new look today, having dyed her own hair during self-isolation.

Having departed the Corrie cobbles earlier this year, the 24-year-old is now free to dye her hair any colour she wishes.

Generally, actors are forbidden from cutting their hair in dramatic new styles, as it can wreak havoc with the continuity on the soap.

Lucy appeared to be making the most of her newfound freedom, dyeing her blonde locks with a peachy pink toner.

The actress, who formerly played Bethany Platt, shared a series of selfies with her followers to showcase the new look.

Modelling a cow-print silk blouse, Lucy smiled into the lens as her pale pink locks tumbled to her shoulders.

In her caption, she plugged a haircare brand, saying: “Thank u @hairbyclareashton for my peach toners! What a fun side of life I’ve just entered x.”

In the comments below, Lucy’s soap star pals and fans alike rushed to compliment the dramatic new look, piling the compliments high.

Former Corrie star Katie McGlynn gushed: “Love it gal.”

A second swooned: “Suits you!”

And a third chimed: “Love it, this is where it begins! What’s next xxx.”

Lucy made headlines last month when she lifted the lid on whether she would be willing to join the cast of another Brit soap.

In the past, Corrie stars have gone on to appear on shows like Emmerdale and Holby City, and vice versa.

However, Lucy insisted she would stay loyal to the cobbles, telling OK! Magazine: “I loved Corrie so much, it would feel like I was cheating on them!”

Hinting a return to Weatherfield could be on the cards, she added: “I’d never say never because Bethany didn’t die. I didn’t leave because I didn’t enjoy it. I left because I felt like if I didn’t leave now and try to experience life, I would never leave.

“That wouldn’t be a bad thing, but I didn’t want to get to 10 years down the line and think, ‘I should have gone for a couple of years to experience other things’.”
