Mark Wright rocks radical new haircut during lockdown with Michelle Keegan

Mark Wright hasn’t let the closure of barbershops up and down the country get in the way of a new barnet.

The 32-year-old, who is self-isolating with wife Michelle Keegan, shaved his hair off yesterday afternoon.

Sharing a video of the chop over Instagram, the former TOWIE star challenged his mate Olly Murs to do the same thing.

His cousin Elliot, sports promoter Eddie Hearn and actor Mario Lopez were also in the firing line, receiving a nomination for the challenge.

Holding a razor to his head, Mark announced: “So I’ve obviously cut the barnet for quarantine life, but the question is if you’re sent a challenge during this period you have to accept it, am I right in thinking that?

“So I’m going to challenge a couple of people to shave their nuts, not them nuts, that nut [indicating his head], though you can shave them too.

“Stay there I’ve got a couple few people in mind, but tell me who you should think I should challenge to do this quarantine challenge.”

With a freshly shorn head, Mark posed topless as he sunbathed in the back garden of their Essex farmhouse.

Putting Olly forward for the challenge, he announced: “I didn’t want to nominate you because I know he loves his blond barnet at the moment, but with the amount of requests I’ve just got to do it mate.”

Mark has praised his wife Michelle’s company since lockdown began, branding the actress as the “girl of his dreams”.

With Michelle often abroad for work, filming projects like Our Girl in exotic locations, the quarantine offered the couple some much-appreciated alone time.

Speaking to The Sun last week, Mark said: “After years of having a long-distance relationship, I’m now locked up with the girl of my dreams.

“We used to spend all our time on FaceTime calls and talking for hours on the phone in different time zones, but now we are together every minute of the day.

“It’s nice to just sit together in the evening in front of the TV without having to worry about rushing off.”

He finished: “That time is important as a couple — just being together.”
