One Direction fans could be on the cusp of a full scale 1D reunion with ex bandmate Zayn Malik if latest reports are to be believed.
While little is known in terms of details, countless sources are claiming some for of reunion for the tenth anniversary of the band is inevitable.
Liam Payne recently confirmed talks are currently in progress behind the scenes.
Now a source has told US publication Page Six that while a tour is off the cards, a TV special or a stand alone single are being debated.
A source told the outlet: “There’s still a long way to go and a lot of hurdles. Obviously, at the moment anything they do would have to be done virtually.

“But there’s a lot of goodwill between them now and they want to make something happen.”
The news comes just days after the One Direction lads and the official One Direction account reflowed Zayn Malik on Twitter.
Zayn quit the group in 2016 part way through their world tour.

Since then he has released two solo albums though has kept a low profile.
It was previously reported he didn’t even say goodbye to the lads before he quit the group.
He is yet to follow them back on social media.

Last week Liam Payne let slip 1D plans by saying: “We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks, which has been really nice.
“To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.
“At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say.”
Not stopping there Liam, whose solo career has struggled over the past few months, added: “There are a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around.
“But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”
