Charlotte Crosby denies 'beating up' Josh Ritchie amid domestic abuse claims

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has been forced to deny claims that she was “violent” towards her ex boyfriend Joshua Ritchie during their two-year relationship.

The former Celebrity Big Brother winner, 29, took to her Instagram Stories today to share a cryptic message about an unnamed person “taking money” from her and paying off someone’s “debt”.

Charlotte’s ex boyfriend Josh, 25, quickly revealed himself as the person the TV babe slammed in her social media post, and later took to his own Instagram account to tell his fans his version of events.

Josh, who shot to fame in the first series of Love Island in 2015, denied ever being in debt, and brought up details from his relationship as the pair’s Instagram war took a nasty turn.

The Bolton native explained the debt is to do with “a bond on a house they share together” and said that the “certain somebody” should “get over it” as he was happy to sort out the situation off social media.

Josh went on to expose Charlotte as a “psycho” who “tried to throw a trophy at my head”.

He told his 970,000 Instagram followers: “The first time domestic violence happened was when I didn’t say happy birthday to a certain somebody bang on 12 o’clock when I already said it six times.

“They went also mad when I asked to go on a boy’s golfing holiday, and recently they tried beating me up when I was asleep.”

Charlotte has furiously denied any of the accusations made by the former boyfriend, despite him not mentioning her name in the social media rant.

Josh accused Charlotte of “attacking him in his sleep” on his Instagram Stories today

The former Geordie Shore star told her 7.2 million followers: “I’m really upset it has come to this but I am not being accused of things that are not true.

“I have sat here now thinking of how to respond but actually I realise if you do argue with clowns you only join the circus yourself.

“I’m not going to drag anyone through the trash or try and expose anyone.”

She continued: “If I was offered half the money, like someone has suggested. then I definitely would not have gone on that rant.

“I do think everyone knows the reality of what has happened and I have been getting threats for sometime now from numerous people so it’s probably best that they got it all off their chest.

Breaking into tears, Charlotte continues: “I just would like to thank you for the lovely messages I am not getting in the hundred in my inbox. Thank you.”

Charlotte split from ex Josh Ritchie in November last year after moving from Newcastle to Bolton to live with him.

At the time, Charlotte said: “Sadly the relationship seems to have broken down. Hoping we can still remain civil and wish him the best for the future.”
