Paul O’Grady has introduced his seriously cute new puppy Nancy to his followers, after rehoming her from Battersea Dogs and Cats home, where he films his popular television show.
Nancy’s introduction comes just a week after Paul announced that his beloved cross-breed Boycie had died.
The 64-year-old shared a photo of the adorable puppy and gave Battersea staff an update on how she’s getting on in her new forever home.
Paul wrote: “Just thought I’d let you all know at Battersea how Nancy is doing.
“She’s twice her size, extremely confident, loves her grub and when she’s not terrorising Arfur (who’s mad on her) she likes to pose for glamour shots on her faux fur rug.

“I’m thinking of you all and wish I was there with the crew filming. Hope all the dogs and cats are doing ok which I’m sure they are with all the love and care you show them.”
He went on: “Keep well and see you soon, that’s if Nancy hasn’t chewed my foot off.”
Paul’s BBC Radio producer Malcolm Prince took to Twitter to share Paul’s heartbreaking announcement last week.

He tweeted: “A message from Paul… Sadly, he had to say goodbye to Boycie today.
“He asked me to share this photo,” alongside the hashtags “Team POG”, “Paul O’Grady” and “farewell Boycie”.
Later, Paul shared a photo of his own and revealed that Boycie had been unwell and suffered brain damage after “his last big bout of seizures” from his epilepsy.

He said: “A great little dog who didn’t have a mean bone in his body and who lived quite happily in his own little world. I don’t have miss him.”
Paul told fans that he “had no choice but to let him go on Tuesday” last week.
He has also urged people not to adopt any dogs at the moment, as they “might get separation anxiety” when people go back to work after the lockdown.
