Reporter's DIY segment backfires when she catches naked husband in background

A TV reporter’s live segment from her bathroom backfired in the worst possible way after she failed to notice her naked husband taking a shower in the background.

Melinda Meza, a correspondent for KCRA 3 in Sacramento, California, was giving tips about how to go about hairstyling while quarantined at home.

Having interviewed experts, the segment cuts back to Melinda who is seen cutting her hair.

“So people won’t have to do this much longer,” she says.

But a reflection of a man – thought to be Melinda’s husband Mike de Lambert – stark naked in the shower can be seen in the mirror behind him.

Melinda seems completely unaware of the mishap, as do the news anchors for KCRA 3 who simply praise the reporter’s bravery for cutting her own hair.

The same cannot be said for thousands of eagle-eyed viewers, though.

One wrote: “She’s brave alright, in more ways than one.”

Another questioned: “Okay, but why would the dude take a shower if he knew his wife was doing a news segment?”

“They’re deffo in the shower,” a third said. “We are seeing him in the reflection of a second mirror that’s on the door of the bathroom.

“He isn’t moving because he doesn’t want to be seen on the large mirror behind the woman, not knowing he is seen by the second mirror.”

It is not the only strange sight on a live TV report in recent weeks.
