A writer’s BBC News parody has gone viral after he made a video in which he appears to scream “f*** off” at his son during a video interview.
Ivor Baddiel, who writes for radio and TV, made the sketch with his son during lockdown and it has been watched more than 4 million times in less than a day.
In the clip, edited to look like he is being interviewed by BBC News host Reeta Chakrabarti, the writer launches a tirade of swear words at his son when he steps into his office during a live interview.
He shouts: “F*** off, you little t*** I’m on live telly! F*** out of it! I’m on telly! F***ing hell. F*** off, you little t***!”

As his son hastily backs away, Ivor turns to face the camera and says: “Sorry.”
Ivor comically captioned the video with: “Adorable moment man interrupted by his son on live TV.”
The sketch has had people in stitches, with many hailing it as one the funniest things they had seen since lockdown began.
“I have watched this about 1,000 times now and it just gets funnier and funnier,” tweeted a fan.
A second said: “When I clicked on it, I did think it was real for a minute, but then I realised it was a mock-up….. but it doesn’t detract from my hysterical laughter each time I see it, and the sorry at the end is perfect.”
“I don’t know if it is a fake, but I can’t stop laughing,” admitted a third.
Unfortunately, not all people understood it was a joke and were scandalised at the “abuse” they witnessed.

A viewer wrote: “No, it’s abuse. Not funny at all, and anyone who thinks it is, needs to have a long hard look at their values.”
“I don’t actually think you should ever speak to your child like that,” said another person.
A third wrote: “My son, at 24, would go into meltdown if his father spoke to him like that! He would have been devastated and disgusted I think!”
