Piers Morgan tells GMB fans he's not ill after worrying Susanna with symptoms

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has told viewers that he isn’t ill after worrying fans with his sore throat on yesterday’s show.

On today’s instalment, he insisted he was fine as he said to viewers: “Do you know what, I actually feel quite hot and sweaty.

“It’s not a need to go to Dr. Hilary, it’s the pressure of doing my own make-up as the clock ticks.

“I start hearing ‘two minutes’, ’90 seconds’, ‘a minute’…”

Susanna asked: “Why don’t you leave a little bit more time?”

Piers replied: “Because I’m prepping, reading all the papers.”

He ignored Susanna as she pointed out that they were all doing that, with Piers repeating: “I’ve actually developed a slight sweat. It’s a pressure sweat.”

Yesterday, Susanna asked him: “Are you alright this morning, by the way?”

Piers insisted he was okay,as he said: “I lost my voice last night shouting”, before adding, “A lot of people annoy me, the Beckhams in particular”.

This comes after the news that Piers will be presenting the hit TV show for four days a week, instead of his usual three.

His co-star Susanna normally presents with Ben Shephard on a Thursday, and he then presents with either Kate Garraway or Charlotte Hawkins on a Friday.

He decided to make the change as he dedicated himself keeping the public informed throughout the current health crisis, with coronavirus being deemed a global pandemic last month.

Meanwhile, he decided to ban Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the show today after declaring he “couldn’t be a**ed” to talk about them.

This comes after Meghan and Harry wrote a letter to the editors of the Daily Express, the Daily Mail, the Daily Mirror and The Sun which said “there will be no corroboration and zero engagement” and that they will from now only deal with hand-picked media organisations.

The couple officially stepped down as senior royals last month and are now living in Los Angeles with baby son Archie.

They have also banned their PR team from having relationships with the organisations but claimed “this is not in any way a blanket policy for all media”.

GMB continues tomorrow at 6am on ITV.
