Ant McPartlin 'free to remarry' as divorce from Lisa Armstrong is finalised

Ant McPartlin, 44, is reportedly free to marry girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett should he wish after finalising his divorce from Lisa Armstrong.

The TV host and his former makeup artist wife are alleged to have finally put and end to the legal paperwork and drawn a line under their relationship.

In total, the process has taken just over two years to complete.

A source told The Sun: “It’s been an extremely difficult road with a lot of heartache and unpleasantness, but it’s finally done. It’s over.

“Ant’s been desperate to start the next chapter of his life and at least now he and Anne-Marie can plan for the future.

“It won’t be long before they are married.”

Ant McPartlin announced his split from Lisa in January 2018.

Unusually for a couple in the public eye, the statement was only signed off by Ant and not by Lisa.

Since then the couple have dominated headlines with claims they were clashing over details of the split.

In particular, both were reported to be keen to retain custody of their beloved dog Hurley.

Earlier this year Lisa slammed reports she was set to pocket £31 million in the settlement.

After seeing the reports on the front pages of newspapers, one fan tweeted Lisa: “And, more than well deserved, too, @lisaAmakeup if this is true!”

Quote tweeting the post, Lisa hit back publicly: “Nope a load of nonsense AGAIN… you’ll be hearing from my lawyers AGAIN…”

As well as claiming the finical package ‘delighted’ Lisa, The Sun the report alleged Ant and Lisa “agreed to share permanent custody” of Labrador Hurley.

Daily Star Online has contacted Ant and Lisa’s reps for comment.
