Pop star Cher Lloyd has opened up about her concern for her father’s health after he was hospitalised twice during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The X Factor star, 26, is praying that her dad Darren, who suffers from a pre-existing siting condition, won’t have to go into hospital again.
The singer revealed that she hasn’t been able to see her parents as the UK remains in lockdown due to current crisis.
Speaking to House Of Soho, Cher admitted that is was a “really scary though” to not be close to her mum and dad, especially because she was so close to them before the country was told to stay at home in a bid to fight coronavirus.
“I think the biggest thing is not being able to see family. I miss my mum and dad alot. Before the lockdown I spent a lot of time with them,” she told the publication.

“My dad hasn’t been well for a long time and the idea of not being able to be close is a really scary thought.
“He’s actually been in hospital twice during the lockdown with his pre-existing conditions and every single time I get the phone call, I ask myself, ‘Is this going to be because of his pre-existing condition or is this going to be the call that I’m dreading?’”
Although the Swagger Jagger hitmaker is currently isolating apart from her parents, Cher has been able to FaceTime them every day.
The singer is self-isolating with her husband Craig Monk and daughter Delliah-Rae.

Cher added: “I feel like the weeks have gone quite quickly and I think that has a lot to do with having a small child.
“My day is non-stop, and she is a very energetic child. So, I don’t get a lot of time to myself, I try to be creative in any way possible, but that’s difficult when you’ve got a kid saying: ‘Mummy I’ve done a poo!’.”
Cher shot to fame on The X Factor in 2010 and came fourth place on the seventh series of the ITV singing show.

Despite smashing her way onto the top of the charts with her debut single in 2011, Cher says she was asked to date a fellow star to boost her profile.
However the star rejected the suggestion and says she being fake goes against the very nature of her personality.
“They gave me a few suggestions but it was just a crazy thing to ask,” the pint-sized star told The Sun.
“Sadly it still happens. That’s still happening in this day and age — that it’s still OK to try to make a young girl do something like that to boost a career,” she went on.
“I am never going to be that girl, I was never going to be that girl.”
