EastEnders Whitney 'kidnapped' as family believe she's fled in tragic twist

Whitney Dean is set to be “kidnapped” on EastEnders in a tragic twist.

The character will reportedly be abducted by Leo King’s mum Michaela, months after Whitney stabbed Leo, killing him in self-defence.

In episodes airing next week, Whitney’s lawyer Gray Atkins is concerned when he finds out that Whitney isn’t anywhere to be found on Albert Square.

He assumes she has made a getaway after her traumatic time in jail, suggesting the stress in the lead up to her trial was overwhelming.

However, Whitney’s friends and family are all unaware that she’s actually been kidnapped by Leo’s mum Michaela.

Gray is concerned when he’s unable to contact Whitney, but things suddenly take an even more worrying turn as a power cut spreads through the streets.

Fans will have to wait to find out what happens to Whitney, and what Michaela is planning to avenge her son’s death.

Viewers saw at the end of last week’s episode that Michaela had startled Whitney in the square.

Max Branning told her that Michaela had been arrested, so Whitney was determined to stay in Albert Square and get through her court case.

However, when she ran outside to give Max his phone back, she was startled by Michaela, who put a knife to her neck and said: “You scream and it will be the last sound you make.”

After the episode aired, viewers noticed a blunder and were left perplexed.

They were puzzled about how Michaela managed to get arrested, questioned and released by the police in just a few hours.

One fan said: “The Met police arrested, charged and bailed Michaela all within a couple hours? Nah. And that cliffhanger was really putting a hat on a hat.”

While another chipped in: “Arrested, well Michaela was released quickly.”

But a third tweeted: “She was arrested but she had to be released at some point. She clearly had bail conditions that she ignored.”

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One.
