Britain’s Got Talent star Amanda Holden has opened up to fans about how she died for 40 seconds after giving birth to her daughter Hollie.
The TV regular made the startling admission while co-presenting Heart Radio’s Breakfast show with Jamie Theakston.
Speaking frankly, Amanda said: “I owe the NHS my life, without being too dramatic.
“When I gave birth to Hollie, my eight-year-old daughter who I know is listening, she was an emergency and I haemorrhaged, basically.
“I actually did pass away for 40 seconds and then I went into a coma.”
The 49-year-old continued: “But the NHS was there holding my hand and my husband’s hand so I feel more sorry for him to be honest, he went through it, watching it all.”
The revelation comes as Amanda releases a single to raise money for the health service.
Over the Rainbow, which is out now, aims to bring in as much cash as possible for NHS Charities Together.

Amanda previously credited the NHS for saving the life of her sister Debbie.
Debbie was involved in a horror car crash in 2016 which left her with serious internal injuries.
“She experienced a brain injury and is now fully recovered,” Amanda said before adding: “But they [the NHS] were there for that.”

Not stopping there, Amanda bravely told Heart listeners about her stillbirth.
She continued: “And then, of course, it’s been well documented that Chris and I had a child, a little boy called Theo, who was born sleeping at an NHS hospital and again they were incredible to us.
“We couldn’t have got through without them.”
