Beat the Chasers brainiac Paul Sinha proved his memory is like no other, when he recognised a former The Chase contestant on today’s show.
Birmingham-native Belle stepped up to the plate, hoping to beat the five legendary Chasers – Paul, Jenny Ryan, Anne Hegerty, Seann Wallace and Mark Labbett.
However, as soon as she appeared before the team, Paul realised he had seen her before, as he whispered: “I can’t believe it.”
Turning to him, The Vixen wondered: “Oh, she’s a former contestant?”
Paul announced: “Hello again Belle. It’s been seven years.”
Surprised he remembered her, she replied: “Yes, it must have been.”
Host Bradley Walsh couldn’t believe the reunion before him, as he wondered: “Hang on a minute, what’s going on!”
Pointing out the exact date of their first meeting, Paul said: “My first episode of series six.”
Proving Belle made a serious impression on him, Paul recounted her appearance on The Chase, when she won an impressive £40,000 for her team.
He said: “Brings £40,000 back, and she’d have won if it wasn’t for two things.
“Seat two got his last question wrong and didn’t bring back £40,000 – with him you’d have won. Secondly, I was better than her in the final chase. Those are the big true things.”

Laughing, Belle replied: “That is true!”
Tonight, proving her worth, Belle decided to compete against all five Chasers in a daring move, hoping to win £100,000.
Over on Twitter, viewers were hugely impressed by Belle’s performance, as they praised her general knowledge expertise on the famously tricky show.
One gushed: “Yes Belle go girl go!”
A second added: “Belle has the general knowledge….”
While a third chimed: “She knows her Hemingway!”
“Incredible!!! Come onnnnn I NEED to see Belle do this,” added a fourth.
Beat the Chasers airs on weekdays at 9pm on ITV.
