Coronation Street ‘s Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) has been concerned for Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) as he noticed she has been showing some seriously worrying behaviour.
Little does he know, she is being abused by her husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) and finally snapped last night as she stabbed him in the neck.
Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Yasmeen will call the police and she will soon be charged with attempted murder as the residents reel at the news of the attack.
Earlier in the episode, Geoff forced Yasmeen to wear an overly sexy dress he had bought for an escort to the pub for dinner with Sally and Tim Metcalfe.
As Geoff got the drinks in, Tim insisted on paying for the drinks, and Geoff ordered Yasmeen to go up to help carry them.
She walked away from the bar, and Peter was seen looking at her with concern, sparking fans to predict he will realise something isn’t adding up with Yasmeen’s arrest.
Peter seems to have noticed that something is wrong with Yasmeen’s behaviour
Viewers know Peter was there to offer support to Yasmeen when Geoff told everyone she had a drinking problem earlier this year.
Earlier this week when Yasmeen discovered she had an STI and panicked outside the medical centre, Peter also rushed over to make sure she was okay, sparking suspicion from Geoff.
Peter has been keeping an eye on Yasmeen ever since, and it is made clear he is keeping an eye on the group when Yasmeen and Geoff argue before he makes her go home.
Is Peter going to be the one to save Yasmeen from going to prison?
Could he be the one to realise that Yasmeen was indeed being abused as Alya tells everyone the truth?
Fans have taken to social media to predict he could be the one to work out that Yasmeen is telling the truth about being abused, as one posted: “Eileen and Peter will be integral to helping what comes next. I did think Sally would as well, but she’s too loyal to Tim?”
Another added: “Peter knows something is up PLEASE SAVE HER.”
