Emmerdale fans 'work out' Harriet will take down DI Malone after cryptic clue

During Wednesday night’s episode of Emmerdale, Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) was horrified when boyfriend Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) burst through the doors after being savagely beaten up by DI Malone’s (Mark Womack) cronies.

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) finally told her what has been going on recently, with him, Will, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and even Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) involved in Malone’s underground drugs ring.

She was, naturally, horrified and also in disbelief that her former colleague Malone was actually a pretty bad guy.

And now fans think she may be the one to take down the bent copper after her reaction and another scene.

Harriet dumped Will and announced she wanted him out of the house after his involvement in the dodgy policeman’s drug ring.

And, elsewhere, Billy met up with Malone and handed him back a hold-all full of drugs, seemingly off the hook.

Fans think this could all be part of some undercover work from Harriet, especially due to their past.

One tweeted: “Who else reckons there’s more to Harriet dumping Will and Billy willingly handing over the drugs just like that? I sense a plot is afoot to bring Malone down.”

Someone else said: “Does Harriet have a plan to handle Malone or will she end up in Will’s mess too?”

A third wrote: “Harriet and Malone’s history, could Malone and Harriet have been in a relationship when Harriet went undercover as Michelle.”

And another added: “Yup, Harriet is the one that brings fire on Malone.”

Will Harriet really be the one to take down Malone?

Emmerdale currently airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 7pm
