Adele's 7st weight loss 'wasn't about getting skinny', insists personal trainer

Adele sent the internet into meltdown earlier this week as she stunned the globe with a new snap, showcasing her incredible seven stone weight loss.

The transformational snap went viral and has been the topic of conversation for many, with questions raised as to how she’d achieved her jaw-dropping curves.

Her former personal trainer Pete Geracimo took to Instagram to spill the beans about his own experience with the star while slamming “fat-phobic” accusations.

Pete also claimed that her healthy regime “was never about getting super skinny” instead more so for her son, Angelo’s benefit.

In the lengthy post, he penned: “As Adele’s former London-based personal trainer, it’s disheartening to read negative commentary and fat-phobic accusations questioning the genuineness of her amazing weight loss.

“In my personal experience of working with her through many highs and lows, she always marched to the beat of her own drum on her own terms.

“She never undermined her God-given talent by reducing herself to expose her flesh or be the over the top sexy vixen to sell albums. She let her voice do the talking, or should I say singing!

“She never once pretended to be something that she wasn’t. What you saw, was what you got. And we all LOVED it!”

Lifting the lid, on his time working with the star, he explained it was never about weight loss, instead about maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

He continued: “When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was about getting her healthy. Especially post pregnancy and post surgery.

“When 25 dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13 month gruelling schedule.

“In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices. As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice. Her body transformation was splashed across every media outlet.”

The fitness instructor also drew attention to The Chasing Pavements star’s “tough and personal changes” following her move to Los Angeles.

Pete penned: “Since she moved to LA, it’s been well documented that she underwent some tough personal changes. It’s only natural that with change comes a new sense of self and wanting to be your best possible version.

“She embraced better eating habits and committed to her fitness and ‘is sweating!’ I could not be prouder or happier for her!

“This metamorphosis is not for album sales, publicity or to be a role model. She is doing it for herself and for Angelo.”

The songstress began her health kick after she and husband Simon Konecki, parted ways last year.

Simon and Adele share son Angelo, 7, together with her weight loss allegedly having been spurred on in hope of being healthier for her son.
