Naked Attraction proves popular with OAPs as stars flash privates to bag dates

Pensioners can’t get enough of saucy dating show Naked Attraction.

Host Anna Richardson said the programme, which sees its contestants baring all on camera, is a massive hit with the nation’s OAPs.

Anna, 49, said: “Of all the shows I’ve done, Naked Attraction is the one people talk to me about the most.

“We are all interested in what other people look like without their clothes on. Grannies love it. I get lots of them asking me about it. All generations love it.

“It’s actually a family show. Teenagers and parents love it too. No one is immune. Everybody watches it secretly, whether they admit to it or not.”

On Naked Attraction contestants’ bodies are revealed in stages — starting with their feet.

They are then eliminated based on their body parts.

Its full frontal nudity has divided opinion since it launched in 2016.

But it is a big hit for Channel 4 and it had a sixth series earlier this year.

Anna said: “This show ticks so many boxes. It’s outrageous and funny. But it’s also warm. The thing I’ve said from day one is that it isn’t about shaming, it’s about acceptance.

“We have had naked trans people saying, ‘This is what I look like post-surgery and I still deserve love’.

“And we had a gay guy on who is HIV positive saying, ‘I am not a pariah, I deserve love.’

“I think it’s an incredibly open show. It says we all deserve acceptance and it’s always done with a smile.”

Anna is back on the box as host of The Fantastical Factory of Curious Craft, which launches Sunday night at 8pm on Channel 4.
