Coronation Street lad David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) has been struggling in recent months since his wife Shona (Julia Goulding) ordered him to stay away after losing her memory from her gunshot coma.
In episodes airing this week, David is set to continue his thrill-seeking ways when he goes to confront a drug gang.
And next week, David confides in family friend Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) about why he has been acting out recently.
He confesses that he gets an adrenaline rush from taking the stupid risks that he’s been taking over the past few weeks.
Responsible Craig tries to tell David to stop being stupid for the sake of his family – but will he listen?
In recent times, Coronation Street viewers have watched David take on groups of lads and risk getting seriously injured.
He managed to scarper up some fire escape steps and away from them, but this week will take on some drug dealers.
The newly single lad will jump onto the gang’s car bonnet to taunt them.
Will he get out of the worrying situation unscathed?
David has been unhappy since Shona told him to stop visiting, as she had no idea who he was.
However it was confirmed last week that David and Shona are set for a romantic reunion when they both learn to love each other again.
Corrie boss Iain MacLeod told Daily Star Online: “It will be comedic in places because I think David and Shona are at their best when they’re being funny and sparky and spunky with each other, but ultimately it’s gonna be a bumpy road for them.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV
