The wife of BBC presenter Nicky Campbell has caught two brazen thieves red-handed when they tried to nick a catalytic converter from the couple’s car in front of their home.
In the security camera footage shared by the 5 Live Breakfast host, wife Tina Ritchie is seen storming out of the house as two men wearing caps and hooded tops winch their family car up with a vehicle jack in an apparent attempt to steal the whole exhaustion system.
Former journalist Tina yells: “What the bloody hell do you think you are doing?”
The pair look on and walk back to their car about two doors down the street.

Husband Nicky, 59, was at upstairs when Tina busted the two would-be thieves in broad daylight yesterday.
He wrote on Twitter : “This afternoon. Two guys attempt to steal a catalytic converter from our car.
“Tina spots them. Confronts them. They leave. ‘What the bloody hell do you think you’re doing?’ Brazen.”
He also added that Tina had spotted the pair tampering with the family car while she was inside the house.

Viewers praised Tina for her fearless confrontation and some expressed their concerns about security problems in quiet neighbourhoods.
One viewer asked: “Did you get the registration number of their car?”
Nicky answered: “No alas. Police took a statement. There very quickly.”
He said that he was at the top of the house and branded the two men’s attempted theft “oblivious”.
“I’d have lost it,” he added.
Another one said: “Just brilliant! Go Tina! I love the sarky ‘bye’.”
“Well done Tina. Hope the Police get them before they try it with someone else’s car,” a third wrote.
As well as his role as a BBC 5 radio host, Nicky is also known for his book on his search for his parents – Blue-eyed son: The Story of an Adoption.
His wife, Christina “Tina” Ritchie, used to present on BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat and was the former head of Virgin Radio News.
