Good Morning Britain turned fiery today as Piers Morgan and Dr Hilary Jones argued in a heated row.
The 55-year-old presenter and GMB’s resident doctor, 66, clashed during a passionate debate about care home “neglect” during the coronavirus pandemic.
Susanna Reid’s co-star Piers grilled Dr Hilary about the ongoing care home crisis in terms of Covid-19 infection rate and death toll numbers.
There’s been a major loss of life in care homes after it was revealed many patients were released back into their homes without being tested for the deadly virus.
Hilary agreed it was a complete tragedy, but wanted to share why things happened the way they did.
He told Piers and co-host Susanna Reid that the test shortage was behind so many of the residents not being tested.
Hilary said: “What was the best alternative? For elderly patients to stay in hospital, in a pretty dangerous environment that we’ve had, or to go to a care home where the staff are very well trained to look after the patients as best they can.”

Piers shot back saying: “But they weren’t trained.
“They were not trained to deal with people with Covid-19.”
Hilary said: “Nobody is.”
Things turned heated in yesterday’s GMB too as Susanna and Piers discussed the government’s new plan with Dr Hilary.
Fans accused the two hosts of “interrupting” and “talking over” the TV doctor continuously, and they flooded Twitter with their comments of fury.

Viewers flooded Twitter, outraged at the way the chat with Dr Hilary was conducted.
One said: “Piers and Susanna if the 2 of you would zip it we all might hear what the doc is saying he’s got more knowledge than you 2.”
Despite to array of viewers annoyed at the presenters for “interrupting” Hilary, there were fans who enjoyed their coronavirus discussion.
One said: “I could listen to Piers, Susanna and Dr Hilary all day long!
“I love the three of them as a panel debating on all of this.
“I get MORE clarity out of these three than at ANY briefing at 5pm. Thank you!”
