Robert Pattinson blows up microwave as he cooks bizarre pasta dish 'like meth'

Hollywood star Robert Pattinson is currently in lockdown in London, away from his home in Los Angeles with just an old “3G iPhone 4”, an intermittent internet connection and his imagination.

The Batman actor has been spending time thinking up a way to make pasta into a viable fast-food option and testing out his creations.

Robert, 34, even has a brand name – Piccolini Cuscino, which translates to Little Pillow – but it seems he has some more work to do on the actual product first.

That’s because the British star actually blew up his microwave while trying to demonstrate his creation mid-way through an interview.

Using a giant box of cornflakes in place of breadcrumbs, pre-sliced cheese, “any sauce” and penne pasta cooked in a microwave, R-Patz got down to business.

According to GQ, who he was speaking to, Robert put the creation together in a bed of aluminium foil.

He started with a layer of crushed cornflakes which would ideally be breadcrumbs, a generous layer of sugar, plenty of cheese, red sauce, pasta which may or may not be cooked, and a hollowed out burger bun on top.

The interviewer, who spoke to Robert via video call, told him: “You look like you’re cooking meth.”

But things soon took a turn for the worse when Robert found an oven, which the interviewer noted looked like a microwave, and put in his creation, still wrapped in the foil.

As expected, the foil and microwave didn’t mix and, according to the publication, a “lightning bolt” erupted from the contraption.

Robert, laying on the floor, said: “The f***ing electricity, oh my God.”

Aside from his pasta creations, the former teen heartthrob says he eats “like a wild animal”.

He explained he’s on a meal plan for Batman and is eating porridge with barely mixed in protein powder, and tuna straight from the tin.

At least that sounds more safe than his fast-food pasta.
