The Simpsons fans are gobsmacked after finding out Homer Simpson’s real age.
Fans spotted the character’s real age on his birthday, which fell on Tuesday, as an earthed photo emerged.
The Simpsons family have never technically ‘aged’ throughout the course of the series.
However, viewers found an image of Homer’s drivers license from an early episode, revealing his birthday falls on May 12, 1956.
This means Homer celebrated his 64th birthday on Tuesday, even though he still looks the same as his 33-year-old self when the series began back in 1989.

Fans seemed shocked by Homer’s real age, judging by the online comments.
One wrote on Twitter: “Man, Homer Simpson is technically 64 years old today. He looks amazing for his age! What’s his secret?”
While another added: “Okay, Homer is 64?!?!”
The age of Homer’s wife Marge Simpson’s wife has never revealed.

However, it is though she is likely to be around the same age.
Homer’s son Bart would be 41 years of age, since he was 10 years old when the show started, while Bart’s sister Lisa would be 39 years old.
The Simpsons is currently on its 31st season on US network Fox and preparing for its 32nd.
The show became a huge hit for the faltering Fox TV network in just three years after it launched in 1986.
Many often herald The Simpsons for ‘predicting the future’ with its episodes.
The show became the longest-running primetime series in television history in 2018 with its 636th episode, taking over the long-running Gunsmoke, which ran for 20 seasons and 635 episodes between 1955 and 1975.
