The upcoming season of Love Island faces being pre-recorded so that those looking for love are prepared for the catapult to fame that comes with appearing on the show.
Sources claim that that the islanders will return to the UK and be able to watch the show in 2021 once filming has ended.
Love Island bosses had already implemented further measures such as psychological testing as well as social and financial training for contestants before they enter the famous villa.
This came following the deaths of Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon, along with former host Caroline Flack who had all taken their own lives.
An insider said: “The welfare of the islanders is the top priority for ITV bosses and there are continual talks about it.

“Pre-recording the show is one of the ideas to be mooted in planning meetings.”
The source continued telling The Sun: “It would mean the contestants would be back in the UK when the show aired, meaning they would be more prepared for the overnight fame that comes with being on.
“This is one of many ideas that have been thrown around ahead of the next series in 2021 and it’s proved popular with some of the team.”
Should this new system come into place, viewers will lose the opportunity to evict couples during the famous recoupling episodes.

At the time of new measures being implemented on the hit programme, a statement read: “The production team have continued to evolve their processes with each series, as the show’s popularity has risen and the social and media attention on Islanders has increased.
“The key changes this year are – enhanced psychological support, more detailed conversations with potential Islanders regarding the impact of participation on the show, bespoke training for all Islanders on social media and financial management and a proactive aftercare package which extends our support to all Islanders following their participation.”
