Dynamo hospitalised after Crohn's flare up following coronavirus battle

Dynamo has announced he’s seeking medical help in hospital following a health scare.

The magician, 37, who suffers from Crohn’s disease and arthritis, recently tested positive for coronavirus, but won the battle against the virus and is continuing to self-isolate.

Dynamo, real name Stephen Frayne, took to Twitter, explaining to his online followers that he was feeling under the weather as he was due to give a seminar for IBD awareness day.

IBD is an umbrella term used to describe disorders that involve chronic inflammation of your digestive tract – and is common with people diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Writing on the social media platform, he began: “Message for all my crohns warriors and IBS warriors. Stay strong out there #WorldIBDDay2020.”

Underneath the comment, he uploaded a snap of a long message he had penned, revealing he was unable to fulfil his commitments after he suffered a “flare-up”.

The note read: “Today is IBD awareness day.

“I was supposed to be doing dome talks about it to let people know what it’s like and to help those suffering, but unfortunately I suffered a flare-up yesterday and will be unable to fulfil my commitments today.”

The illusionist explained that his team will inform everyone of updates, and is in hospital getting “checked out”.

He continued: “Really sorry to let people down…especially today. But for us going through it, it’s an IBD life, not just one day, and it can affect us when we least expect it.

“Hate to burden you with my woes but feel bad to those who I have let down today. Heading to hospital to get checked out, my team will keep you posted and I will be back before you know it.

“Stay strong out there everyone.”

His note comes after he previously revealed his case of coronavirus was “quite severe because of my existing condition.”

Dynamo said he spent “lots of time in bed” but is now self-isolating and “following the rules”.
