Robbie Williams challenges Liam Gallagher to a charity boxing match

Robbie Williams has reignited his long-running feud with Liam Gallagher by challenging the singer to a boxing match – but this time for a charitable cause.

The musicians famously fell out when Robbie taunted Liam to a boxing match during his acceptance speech at the Brits in 2000, putting a £10,000 bet on the table.

And it seems the Angels hitmaker is still holding out hope for a fistfight with the former Oasis frontman – only this time he wants to do it to raise funds for the NHS.

After being inspired by the boxing match which saw YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul face off in the ring last year, Robbie urged Liam for a match because he’s the only person he “dislikes” enough to want to train to fight.

“I still want to fight. There’s a lot of things I want to experience. I saw KSI and Logan Paul fight and just thought, ‘That looks amazing.’

“I don’t dislike anybody enough to train for those 10 weeks and give it my all apart from Liam. The offer still stands, I’m available, let’s do it for the NHS,” he told MailOnline.

“Anybody that’s ever bullied me at all, I forget about them and put it all on to one person and that’s Liam,” he continued.

“And that’s why I want to fight him in the ring.”

Prior to their public feud, Liam struck up a friendship with Robbie after the singer departed Take That in 1995.

But the good times halted when brother Noel declared that Williams was a just a “fat dancer from Take That”.

Not letting his boxing idea slide, last October Robbie once again urged Liam for a match – but was quickly shot down by his wife Ayda Field.

Ayda quickly stepped in and said the whole thing was “embarrassing” and explained that neither men are “on peak form”.

We may be waiting a while for Liam Gallagher to finally rock up to the ring.
