Netflix star and pro wrestler Hana Kimura dies aged 22

Netflix ‘s Terrace House star and professional wrestler, Hana Kimura, has died aged 22.

The tragic news was confirmed in a brief statement released by her wrestling company, Stardom.

Stardom wrote: “We are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away.

“Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends

“We appreciate your support during this difficult time.”

The cause of death is unknown at this stage, although a number of worrying social media posts have been brought into question.

However, on Friday, her last Instagram post read “Goodbye” featuring a picture of herself along with her cat.

The publication Variety had reported a number of worrying Tweets before her death that indicated that Hana may have suffered at the hand of online trolls.

According to a fan who had translated the the post, it stated she didn’t “want to be a human anymore.”

In another tweet, hinting that she may have faced troubles with online bullies, she penned: “Thank you to everyone who supported me. I love it. I’m weak, I’m sorry.

Hana had followed in her mother’s, Kyoko Kimura, wresting foot steps, with her mum also being a Japanese professional wrestler.

Back in 2016, she began her career as a professional in the ring, also winning her first JWP Junior Championship.

It was evident that wresting was in her blood and she was very successful, later joining the company Stardom, becoming the lead of the Tokyo Cyber Squad faction.

The talented star also featured on Netflix’s hit reality show Terrace House: Tokyo, that is showcased on Fuji TV in Japan.

On the programme aims to follow the intriguing lives of young men and women, who live together in Tokyo.
