Britain's Got Talent act accused of fakery by viewers – 'I smell a rat'

Britain’s Got Talent act The Noise Next Door sailed through to the next round of the talent show on tonight’s instalment with their improvisation act, but some viewers were left suspicious.

The four-piece asked judge David Walliams to devise a business idea, to which he replied: “Selling wellies.”

They then asked the audience to come up with a celebrity who could sell the rubber boots.

Listening to the audience’s shouts, they then shared that they thought the general consensus was for hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

The talented chaps then sang an improvised humorous song about the Geordie duo selling wellies.

Both the judges and audience alike seemed thoroughly impressed with the group’s performance, with David shouting: “And you made it up on the spot!”

But not all viewers at home shared David’s opinion about the track being devised spontaneously.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “Never improvised… I smell a rat.”

While another continued: “No way they’d just made that song up. Obvious the celebrity would have been one of the judges or presenters and the song would have been rehearsed with each one of them picked in case.”

A third added: “It definitely wasn’t made up tonight.”

And a fourth remarked: “No way it was like the dance routine was in time the words were perfect deffo not made up.”

Daily Star Online has contacted an ITV spokesman for comment.

However, some viewers were blown away by the group’s performance and heaped praise on the group.

One Twitter user gushed: “See if someone hadn’t wasted a golden buzzer on that mother and daughter, Noise Next Door would’ve got it – and they should’ve! Brill.”

While another praised: “Brilliant improv.”

A third shared: “Safe to say they smashed that.”

Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturdays at 8pm on ITV
