Keith Lemon admits Celebrity Juice may not return after Holly Willoughby exit

Comedian Keith Lemon has revealed that Celebrity Juice ‘s return is not yet set in stone and all depends on the people they secure as team captains.

The funnyman, speaking on Heart Breakfast, was asked about the show following recent news that team captain Holly Willoughby had quit the show.

Her exit came after fellow original Fearne Cotton left the show two years previously in December 2018, after both appearing on it since it started in 2008.

Keith told Jamie Theakston and Lucy Horobin, who was covering Amanda Holden, that it’s up to “TV big wigs” if the show comes back.

He said: “If we get the combination right, it’ll come back and it’ll all be new and nice.

“Lots of names have been put in a pot and sent to television people, to the TV big wigs, and I guess they’ll decide from the names we have chosen.”

Jamie asked whether or not Keith had the final say and he suggested he did have a big part to play.

Keith – real name Leigh Francis – said: “Well if they say, ‘Well, Dracula’s going to be a team captain’, I’ll say, ‘Well I’m not working with him!'”

But he warned off people that may have been eyeing up the job as a walk in the park.

He continued: “It’s not an easy job though do you know? It depends how drunk I am whether or not it’s easy.”

Keith went on: “It’s a good job. Holly will tell you it’s the funnest show that will ever happen.”

Jamie told him that he “hopes it comes back” – but who could be on the panel?

A number of famous faces have been speculated as replacements for Holly, including the likes of Scarlett Moffatt, Maya Jama, Stacey Solomon and Gino D’Acampo, who has stood in numerous times.
