Emmerdale's Adam Thomas gasps as he removes cereal from his daughter's nose

Television star Adam Thomas has taken to social media to share a sticky situation many parents will relate to.

The 31-year-old actor, best known for playing Adam Barton in ITV soap Emmerdale, was forced to extract a piece of breakfast cereal lodged up his daughter’s nose.

Adam carefully removed the food item with a pair of tweezers as Elsie-Rose, two, kept still for her dad.

Sharing a clip of the moment with his 904,000 followers on his Instagram Stories, Adam penned: “first time for everything”.

“One minute baby, one minute,” The former I’m A Celeb contestant reassured his young daughter.

And when he drew out the offending cereal he gasped: “Elsie-Rose.”

Elsie-Rose, his youngest child with his wife Caroline, recently turned two in lockdown, and to mark the occasion the Mancs In Mumbai star shared an adorable photo of the toddler giving her dad a hug.

He penned alongside the sweet snap: “Today was a special day my daughter’s second birthday – another birthday spent in lockdown at the Thomas household.

“Birthdays we will never forget! Being a father to this little princess was the greatest gift of all.”

Adam showed he was a man of many talents last month as he tugged on heartstrings with a birthday surprise for his wife.

Caroline walked out into their garden to find the former soap star serenading her at a white piano with a rendition of Happy Birthday accompanied by their adorable children Teddy, five, and Elsie-Rose.

The garden was decorated with pink and white balloons and a giant ’30’.

Adam, his twin Scott and their older brother Ryan, 35, recently joined forces in a quest to learn about their Indian heritage for an ITV documentary Mancs in Mumbai.

The famous trio got to address some issues much closer to home during their once in a lifetime trip as they were joined by their soul singer father Dougie on the ITV series.

Since leaving Emmerdale, Adam has had a change in career and landed himself the role of property executive for a luxury realtor group based in Manchester.

In an Instagram post back in 2018, he wrote: “I haven’t, nor will I ever, turn my back on acting but I have a family to support and will carry on doing so…whether it be acting or otherwise.”

He has since had a handful of on-screen appearances and in 2019 he landed a recurring role in BBC drama Pitching In.

Adam was also hired as the host of I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp alongside Joel Dommett and Emily Atack.

Unfortunately, this was short-lived, as the ITV2 show has since been cancelled.
