Television presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back on our screens today to host the latest instalment of This Morning.
The mischievous pair were left in stitches during Thursday’s edition of the ITV daytime show as they attempted to introduce guest presenter Josie Gibson.
The hosts saw the funny side as a straightforward segue to the former Big Brother winner didn’t go to plan as she waited for her outside broadcast aboard the retired steamship SS Great Britain.
ITV viewers expected to see the Josie following Holly and Phillip’s introduction but they were instead greeted by a statue of a large fake cow.
A baffled Holly, 39, gasped: “That’s not Josie,” as Phillip bursted into laughter.

Fortunately, a bubbly Josie, who was on hand to deliver details about the show’s latest competition, admitted she was in on the gag as she emerged from behind the lifelike animal sculpture.
“That’s not me,” Josie said.
“I will say that was the producer’s gag. I just went along with it.”
The gag comes after Holly and Phil were nearly forced to abandon their popular Spin To Win game during Wednesday’s show, after six viewers failed to answer the phone for a chance to take part.

The dynamic duo were baffled that viewers were unable to answer given most of the nation is still in coronavirus lockdown, and came dangerously close to ditching the segment before a seventh caller finally picked up the phone.
With the camera focused in on her as the dial tone rang, Holly tried to pass the time with some dance moves, while Phillip simply looked concerned that the segment may have to be abandoned.
As several viewers failed to pick up, the duo became even more bewildered, noting that it was impossible for viewers to be out as they were in lockdown.
Finally, on the seventh call, Scottish viewer Rhys picked up the phone, to Phillip and Holly’s clear relief.

Holly has recently explained the difficult reason behind some mistakes she makes while presenting.
The TV star has previously spoken out about her struggles with dyslexia and she has said this is the reason “most of the time” for slip-ups live on air.
She has also spoken about her difficulties as a child which left her feeling “stupid” at school.
But Holly admitted that while still gets muddled up with her words while co-hosting the ITV show with Phillip Schofield, she says she’s learned not to let it hold her back.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
