Phillip Schofield suffers wardrobe malfunction but This Morning crew saves day

Phillip Schofield suffered a bit of a wardrobe malfunction on Monday’s episode of This Morning – but luckily a show producer called him to get things under control.

Not long into the episode, Phil and co-host Holly Willoughby returned from an ad break and Phil quickly spoke to viewers.

He held up his wrist to viewers and explained that a This Morning producer had called in during the break and told him he’d had his buttons undone.

Luckily though, it had only been the buttons on his cuff rather than anything else slightly more revealing – though Phil still seemed very appreciative for the heads up.

He did his wrist cuff buttons up as he spoke, before getting on with the rest of the show.

Phil said: “It’s good that our team are on the ball, even though they may not be here, we’re doing our own hair, own makeup.

“But thank you David. David O’Brien’s just text me and said, ‘Phil, your button’s undone on your shirt.

“So they’re sorted now, I’m neat. Thank you David.”

David works as a costume designer at ITV.

Monday morning’s episode of the show was the usual mix of light entertainment and important information.

As well as the usual cooking segments and pre-filmed sections, the hosting duo got down to business on plenty of serious stuff.

Phil and Holly spoke to John Amaechi about the racism protests going on in the UK and around the world.

John shared a very powerful, yet simple, message with viewers – white people’s lives won’t get worse because racism has been brought to an end.

Later, Phil and Holly discussed dodgy dog breeders, following news that Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s puppy had died just days after it had been brought home.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
