Big Brother fans gobsmacked over unearthed photo of 'Nasty' Nick with Brad Pitt

Big Brother fans were left reeling over one piece of memorabilia from the millennium this week, as they discovered a snap of “Nasty” Nick Bateman standing alongside Brad Pitt.

A contestant on the first series of Big Brother, Nick, 52, had left the legendary reality TV show just months prior to the event.

The unlikely duo was photographed together at the premiere of Snatch, which starred Brad as Mickey O’Neil in the crime comedy flick.

Having directed the film, Guy Ritchie appeared in the photo alongside Nick and Brad, smiling at the lens.

At the time the photo was taken, the film director was months away from marrying Madonna, though their marriage would later come to an end in 2008.

Vinnie Jones also appeared in the background of the photo, having played Snatch’s infamous bounty hunter Bullet Tooth Tony.

Over on Twitter, Big Brother fans went on a trip down memory lane, reminiscing over the unexpected pairing of celebrities at the event.

One said: “Do you remember when nasty nick was pictured with brad Pitt and the likes. Was mental.”

Another added: “I’ve just remembered this pic of Nasty Nick, Guy Ritchie, Vinnie Jones and Brad Pitt exists #BBUK”

While a third chimed: “Peak 00s. Do you think Guy Ritchie and Madonna used to watch it together and argue about whether Helen Adams or Brian Dowling should win?”

Nick earned the nickname of “Nasty Nick” during his time in the house when it emerged he had tried to get his fellow contestants eliminated behind their backs.

The former broker was later asked to leave by the show’s producers after his housemates confronted him about his behaviour on the show.

At a press conference, he later defended his actions, saying: “I haven’t committed murder. I haven’t mugged somebody. It was a very small error.

“I’m just an ordinary guy who took part in a very unusual experiment under a lot of scrutiny and pressure.

“I don’t think being labelled the most hated man attaches to me. I was just taking part in a game show.”
