Ruth Langsford was left horrified today, as she revealed ‘Piers Morgan’ had jumped out on her as she headed to the toilet during the This Morning commercial break.
Ruth, 60, shared she jumped out of her skin when she saw the Good Morning Britain host, and at first glance thought it was her hubby Eamonn Holmes, 60.
A cheeky Eamonn responded: “You think I look like Piers Morgan? He should be so lucky.”
As it transpired, it was just a life-size cardboard cut-out of Piers, 55, which had been strategically placed in the dark hallway to scare her.

Ruth then pointed her finger at the culprit, who was Elliot, a member of the This Morning crew.
Eamonn told the cheeky prankster: “[Piers] is on TV enough Elliot.”
The hilarious moment went down a treat with Piers at home.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer remarked: “A cardboard cutout of @piersmorgan that would scare me. The bloke himself scared me never mine the cut out,” followed by a string of laughing face emojis.
Elsewhere on the programme, former Coronation Street actress Nicola Thorp and ex-GMTV presenter Andrew Castle got into a fiery debate about social distancing.
The pair were discussing the pictures that circulated yesterday of swarms of people gathering on Bournemouth beach, seemingly ignoring social distancing rules.
Nicola, 31, shared her thoughts on the matter and said that as much as she didn’t want to take away “people’s liberties,” the worrying photos made her believe that perhaps we should close the beaches again.
Andrew, 56, said he can see why people are gathering in mass numbers due to the recent stories about illegal lockdown raves.
He then compared the beach gatherings to people coming together to protest in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Nicola interjected and said: “I’m sorry, but you cannot compare the two!”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
