Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter has returned to television after having an operation to remove skin cancer from her nose.
The 73-year-old joined This Morning for a chat about the goings-on in the world, alongside Jeremy Vine and hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Phillip asked what the plaster on Janet’s nose was during her appearance on the ITV daytime show.
She explained: “Well, I had a small basal cell carcinoma skin cancer growth taken off my nose a week ago.
“I’m gonna be lifting the plaster off and talking about it on Loose Women on Wednesday, but I’m fine.”

Janet continued: “I did have a white plaster on and I thought this one was a lot more aesthetically pleasing, but now I can see myself, it looks frightening!”
Holly asked again if Janet was alright, and she reassured her she was “perfectly” so.
Basal cells are found within the skin that produce new skin cells while the old ones are dying off.
Carcinoma can take many forms, however often comes through as a slightly transparent bump on top of the skin.

Janet explained on Loose Women last week that she needed to have the surgery to remove the dangerous skin from her nose.
She went on to say that the operation had been planned for months ago, three days before the UK went into lockdown, but it had to be delayed.
The outspoken star confessed she initially thought it was an insect bite on her nose after visiting Australia over the Christmas period, but her doctor confirmed it was bad news.

She said: “I showed this tiny spot on my nose to a dermatologist and he immediately referred me to a consultant and they said I’ve got a basal cell carcinoma, which is a form of skin cancer.
“If untreated it could grow. It has to be removed otherwise it’s going to get bigger and bigger. Also, I could be left with a very big scar.
“I was about to have it removed then lockdown happened three days before I was supposed to have it removed.”
She added: “I’ve spent the whole of lockdown getting more and more anxious about it.
“Although it doesn’t look any bigger on top of my skin, this kind of cancer grows under the skin. You can’t see it and that’s what they’ve got to cut out.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
