Peter Andre shares heartbreaking moment he told kids they couldn't hug their mum

Peter Andre has revealed the heartbreaking moment he was forced to keep his kids away from Emily, as she self-isolated with coronavirus on the top floor of their Surrey mansion.

The 47-year-old Mysterious Girl singer explained: “It was a really scary time and also hard because I had six people in the house to look after.

“She self-isolated on the top floor, as did Junior, and we made out to the younger children that Ems was at work during the day.

“But eventually they spotted her from the garden.”

However it was heartbreaking for the family, as Katie Price’s ex Peter continued in his new! magazine column: “It was so difficult when Theo and Mills were like, ‘Why can’t I go to mum?'”

Peter and his wife Emily MacDonagh share two children together – Amelia, six, and Theo, three.

He also has son Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13, with his ex-wife Katie Price.

Doctor Emily took a government-approved coronavirus test at her hospital in Surrey, and it came back positive.

The Sun Online revealed that Emily had started to feel “very unwell” after working on the NHS frontline during the pandemic.

She came down with a headache, sore throat and aching limbs before it was confirmed she had contracted coronavirus.

Naturally, given Emily’s profession, Peter has been very vocal in his support of the NHS during the pandemic.

He and the family took part in the weekly Thursday Clap for Carers while it was happening, sharing it to his social media.

The Mysterious Girl singer wrote: “Thank you NHS and all the key workers up and down the country. We are so very grateful.”

In a video, Peter, Emily, Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo could be seen stood outside their front door while clapping.

Peter added in the caption: “Obviously Emily doesn’t want me to show Amelia and Theo’s faces but we want them to be part of such a special moment.”

He covered his youngest children’s faces with Instagram stickers.
