Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley teases deadly Cain and Malone clash 'could cost lives'

Emmerdale next week looks set to kickstart a major feud between Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and DI Malone (Mark Womack), but Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) ends up hurt.

During Emmerdale’s lockdown episodes, viewers learned that Cain still has feelings for Moira, but wasn’t sure they could move past her affair with his son Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter).

Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Cain begins to think that Moira is having an affair with Malone, and their clash could end up deadly.

Speaking to Daily Star Online, Cain actor Jeff said that Malone is “up there” as a soap super villain.

He said: “[Cain’s] got to be very wary of him.

“He’ll still have a go with him, but he knows that he’s up against it and at any time could pull one majorly over him – and it could cost people’s lives.”

Cain has had run ins with Malone previously in the not so distant past, though he now believes things have taken a personal turn.

Of course, viewers know that Malone is actually having an affair with vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).

The spoilers for next week’s episodes reveal that Harriet comes clean about the affair to Moira, after the secret couple are interrupted.

She also tells Moira about how Cain had been involved in Malone’s dodgy dealings at the garage.

Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) goes on to confront Cain at the Woolpack and tells him Malone is back.

Cain confronts the bad guy, warning him to stay away.

Malone tells Cain that he has a new interest in the village though, with Cain assuming he means Moira.

Later on, Malone breaks into Moira’s and threatens her to keep quiet about his affair with Moira.

Cain sees him leave after secretly watching from afar and is left certain that his ex is having an affair.

However things take a devastating turn when Cain later gets a call to say that Moira has been the victim of a hit and run.

Emmerdale currently airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
