Rylan Clark-Neal says he'll never be happy with his looks despite major makeover

Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed he’ll never be happy with his looks despite splashing the cash on dramatically changing his appearance over the years.

The TV host, who first burst onto TV screens on The X Factor, has seen his fame skyrocket in recent years and now fronts a variety of beloved programmes including Ready, Steady, Cook, Supermarket Sweep, and This Morning.

However, the 31-year-old admitted that while he “overfilled” his lips during his time on The X Factor, it didn’t put him off getting more cosmetic surgery later down the line.

The former Big Brother host confessed his facial tweaks gave him more confidence, later revealing he’s finally realised that he will never be 100% content with his appearance.

“I’ve always been open with the things I do, whether it’s dying my hair or having aesthetic procedures,” he told The Mirror.

“I’m not saying surgery is great and Botox is fantastic and fillers are amazing, but if you are genuinely unhappy with something and you’re in a position to change it, then I don’t think people need to be vilified for that.

“When I was on The X Factor I had my lips overfilled – but that is a learning curve.

Rylan, who is currently starring on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his beloved mum Linda, has bagged another presenting gig and is set to star in a brand new show – BBC One’s You Are What You Wear.

He added: “I definitely feel more confident, but I don’t think I’ll ever be content. That’s just who I am. I’ve realised that maybe I’ll never be content and that’s all right.”

The Essex native famously splashed the cash on £25,000 veneers in 2013, later explaining that to The Daily Star: “These teeth were the best and worst decision of my life.”

Rylan previously discussed life in the public eye with The Guardian and said people working in TV should be honest about cosmetic surgery rather than putting it down to a good moisturising routine.

He said: “When you’re in the public eye I think you should be honest about what [cosmetic work] you’ve had done.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, as long as you’re doing it safely – not all this ‘backstreet Botox’. But stop lying and saying: ‘Oh, it’s just my moisturiser’. Bs! We all know you’ve had two facelifts.”
